Product Description

In the fall of 2009, Caballo Press of Ann Arbor challenged lovers of horses
everywhere to submit their life stories in a race horse name. In three months,
over 800 horse lovers took up the reins and submitted their life stories in a
race horse name. Life stories ranged from the humorous, to the touching, to
the heart wrenching; resulting in a collection of memories that have already
made this book the most anticipated horse related book of 2010.

Horsenameographies: Life Stories in a Race Horse Name by Lovers of Horses
Everywhere, will be released on April 14, approximately two weeks prior to
the 2010 Kentucky Derby.

A portion of the profits from all books published by Caballo Press of Ann
Arbor is donated to a non-profit organization related to the equine
industry. A percentage of this book
will be donated to ReRun Thoroughbred
Adoption Program and Southern California Thoroughbred Rescue.

"This is truly a book of, by, and for the people. Beautiful in its utter simplicity, it manages to underscore the complexity
of human experience on just about every page--being alternately wise, inspirational, somber, humorous, and uplifting.
The horse people have written ... and they are surely worth reading!"
