- Nominees are accepted in any category: fiction, non-fiction, collection of short-stories, poetry, and
children's books. Photography, or heavily illustrated books are not eligable. All entries must pertain to horses.
- Entries must be complete upon submission. No partial manuscripts will be accepted.
- Manuscripts previously published in any form are not eligable. This includes manuscripts published in
book form, or on the internet.
- Deadline for submissions is September 1, 2010.
- Since Caballo Press of Ann Arbor is a small independent publisher just out of the gate, for the first few
years of this competition, an entry fee of $100, and a handling fee will be charged. However, it is our hope that within three years, if not sooner, an entry fee will no longer be required. The entry and handling fee can be paid electronically below. If you mail in your entry fee with your submission, a handling fee is not required. Mailed in payments should be for $100 in the form of a check, or money order, made out to Caballo Press of Ann Arbor.
- No electronic submissions of manuscripts are accepted. Three copies of a complete manuscript, and if
applicable, your entry fee, must be mailed to:
